And no, I was not particulary talking about installing something via a PC, I just wanted to say to you that you don't seem to have properly dealt with the topic you seem to know so much about.Mobile apps can crash, freeze, or throw errors for various reasons. You can use Chrome on any HUAWEI device you want without going through any steps that require much time or knowledge on the topic. I would only recommend them if nothing else is working, but this isn't the case here. To 3: The methods with Dual Space and Gspace deliver a very bad user experience. This is because you don't need to have the Google Mobile Services Core or Google framework installed to use the basic functions of chromium. It only comes up when you try to sign in with your Google account. And no, there is no message telling you that you need to install Google services when you open Chrome. Either they choose the one that is there or they need a specific one (like Chrome). It doesn't conflict with anything, the applications are choosing on their own which webview they use. But I haven't heard of any problems related to HUAWEI webview yet, with the exception of you. This will probably reach more people if it is a separate thread. To 1: If you feel that there is a need for that, then do it. Besides that, there's better alternatives for that like DualSpace or Gspace. It's really a hassle so I imagine that most people won't do that. You need to have a computer and follow several steps in order to properly install GMS in your phone. You're just reinforcing what I already said in my previous comment. "Chrome can't run without Google Play services." It might conflict with the Huawei Webview and/or other apps on the phone.Īlso, since you picked that example, I don't think that just by installing Android Webview that's sufficient to make that annoying message to go away: I don't know if that's an ok thing to do if. I commented here because of the relevancy of your topic. Sure, maybe I should just create a thread here and explain all that but I didn't. My OG comment can help people who are in that kind of situation. Thing is that if you search "app crash on Huawei" all you get is only results pertaining to GMS Huawei and not newer ones with HMS. I had this issue on my phone (Huawei P40 lite) where most of my aps would simply crash, I did the steps above and now it seems that the problem is fixed. Then restart phone and see if you have any problems afterwards. To do that, go in Settings - > Apps - > search for "Huawei Web View" - > click on it, then click on 3 or 4 dots in the top right side of your screen and then click on "Uninstall updates". Uninstall any of those and then uninstall any updates for Huawei Web View. If you have a Huawei phone and apps crash on your phone, make sure you don't have any Google related app "features" installed (by yourself) in your phone, things like Google Play Services, Google Framework or whatever they're called. So trying to install Android Web View on your Huawei is impossible and pointless since the phone doesn't even let you that. Newer Huawei devixes doesn't even have "Android Web view".
